Leadership Vision: Building Transparency, Communication, and Connection

Our vision is simple yet powerful — to create a Northeast Section that is transparent, engaged, and thriving. Together, we’ve made tremendous strides, and now it’s time to take the next step by deepening communication, expanding opportunities for education and play, and giving every member a voice.
Transparency
We believe transparency builds trust. One of our priorities will be to enhance transparency within the Award Application process, ensuring clarity, fairness, and inclusivity at every stage. Our members deserve to understand how decisions are made and to have confidence in those processes.

Communication
Clear, consistent communication strengthens connection. We will:

  • Publish a Calendar of Events to help members plan and participate with ease.

  • Expand our Newsletter to at least bi-monthly, providing updates, highlights, and member spotlights.

  • Host Monthly Town Halls to discuss issues, share ideas, and gather feedback to bring directly to National leadership.

We want every member to feel heard, valued, and informed.

Education
We are committed to providing more educational opportunities that support professional growth and business success, including:

  • Section Educational Seminars throughout the winter, featuring sessions such as:

    • “Best Drills from the Best Teachers”

    • “Scaling Your Business”

    • “Using AI to Streamline Your Golf Business”

  • A 3–4 part series on Building a Successful Golf Business, led by Kelley Brooke.

  • TPI Education workshops with guest hosts.

  • Continued growth of our Book Club and Mentorship Program, both of which have been very successful and highly rated by participants.

Our goal is to empower every member — whether a teacher, coach, club professional or entrepreneur — with the tools to excel.

Playing Opportunities
We will continue to offer and enhance competitive and fun playing opportunities, including:

  • The Section Team Classic

  • The Northeast Section Championship, featuring a new two-day format:

    • Day 1: Pro-Am (Pro scores count toward the Championship)

    • Day 2: Professionals-only competition

We already have our 2026 tournament dates secured and sponsorships in place to ensure continued success and excitement for our members. Everyone who participates makes money!

Membership Involvement and Committees
To foster greater engagement, we will introduce committees where members can get involved, share ideas, and make an impact:

  • Education Committee

  • Tournament Committee (existing)

  • Membership Committee

These committees will give members meaningful ways to contribute, collaborate, and help shape the direction of our section.

Our Promise
With our combined experience, proven leadership, and shared passion for service, we will lead with experience, listen with heart, and build a stronger community — together.
Vote Debbie O’Connell for President and Kelley Brooke for Vice President.

Together, we’ll continue to elevate our section through transparency, communication, and collaboration.
